Plant Based pregnancy update @thisplantbasedlife ? #35weeks on my first pregnancy it's been a huge journey emotionally & physically. Health wise little man is super active, healthy, BIG & all tests still indicate my iron levels are high even regardless of me having a virus & bronchitis ever since my Bali trip. In terms of my body changing, I still don't have one stretch mark (have been religious with the hemp & rose hip oil and drinking loads of water) and have put on 10kgs to date. I have lost tone in the last few months because I've been taking it easier and not allowed to exercise since our early labour scare, but I haven't really put on extra "weight" a part from the big enormous bump just gotten a little softer ? I have been feeling more and more exhausted lately which is typical at this stage of pregnancy, but haven't really been able to slow down at all, it's been such a busy few months with work, family & getting out home ready for little one, I am excited to have time off soon ?Still no cravings! A part from Apples and cucumbers, I haven't wanted to over eat at all, my appetite hasn't changed at all and the whole "eating do two" hasn't been something I've experienced I think because I've been focusing on nourishing my body constantly throughout the day with lots of life food and probably the biggest reason I haven't really put on any extra weight. Although the I can NOT WAIT to start moving & training again, having to take it "easy" is not something I like doing especially because I live a very active life that I love. I think that's been one of the hardest things to deal with during this pregnancy. I eat constant, smaller meals throughout the day, try to have at least 2 smoothies a day and am eating nuts & fruit in between meals. I am loving huge fresh salads, hearty lentil soups and veggie dishes. I don't have swollen ankles or anything! A part from morning sickness at the start, occasional reflux, growing pains and starting to feel limited and restricted at the end of pregnancy, I honestly believe it's all to do with diet and what you feed yourself and I have found that eating plant based whole foods is what I have to thank for it ? #veganmom
